This 1959 ranch home in Meyerland was lifted approximately 6 ft off the ground after the Tax Day flood in 2016, and a whole new approach had to be designed and installed. Taking into account that another flood could occur, the design had to provide exit points for any water accumulating underneath the house and making sure that the very long custom built stepping pads would not heave and/or sink with the changes of moisture in the soil.
The homeowners wanted to have a modern looking garden with succulents, agave, natives and grasses.
The resulting entrance is a very modern show stopper.
